I'm an independent designer and goldsmith with over ten years experience, and I design and fabricate jewelry from my home studio in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Spending time at craft shows during my childhood sparked my interest in the jewelry industry. After high school, I attended the Tyler School of Art at Temple University where I received a BFA in Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM. I learned a lot of important design skills there, as well as Rhino (the CAD program I still use today), and a variety of jewelry techniques. After college, I worked at a local jewelry store repairing, designing, casting, and setting custom jewelry. I really improved my skills during my time there, and I learned the importance of attention to detail.
While I found working as a bench jeweler enlightening and sometimes rewarding, I decided to start Westbound Studio so I could better explore my own creativity. I strive to create versatile, long-lasting jewelry using high quality, sustainable materials and precision craftsmanship. Taking the time to get the details right is a worthwhile and rewarding endeavor.
